Climate Solutions in 2026 Colorado Governor Race

DENVER, CO – May 6, 2026

In light of polling data released today in the Denver Post, the Christian Komor for Colorado Governor campaign is identifying a massive strategic opening within the 2026 race. While traditional front-runners like Michael Bennet command the attention of decided partisans, the data reveals that nearly 85% of Coloradans remain uncommitted, a "Independent Majority" seeking effective Climate Solutions that match the unprecedented scale of the climate emergency.

Christian Komor Campaign Highlights

"The pond is much bigger than the establishment realized," says Dr. Christian Komor, Earth Systems Science Advisor and Gubernatorial candidate. "Current leaders are fighting who is "toughest on Trump" over a small 25% slice of partisan voters, while the vast majority of Coloradans are looking for a way out of the ecological and economic crisis. Our upstart campaign is the only one offering the infrastructure-level scale required to actually fix the problem."

The Science of Survival: Beyond Emissions Reductions

The Komor platform is built on a singular, scientifically-backed mandate: emissions reductions alone cannot impact the "legacy carbon" already saturating our troposphere. As self-amplifying feedback loops threaten planetary systems, Dr. Komor warns that a failure to act rapidly could lead to a 70% loss of global life within this century.

"You don't have to be a billionaire to solve this, but you do have to be willing to use the power of the state to upscale Direct Air Carbon Removal (DACR)," Komor stated. "Our platform targets the removal of 900-1,200 gigatons of carbon required to meet the 2035 Climate Deadline. If Colorado leads the way over the next two years, we provide the industrial blueprint for the 20 other states in the U.S. Climate Alliance to follow."

Capturing Colorado’s Independent Majority

Today’s polling confirms that Colorado's fiercely independent voters are not satisfied with niche issues or status-quo rhetoric. The Komor campaign is aggressively pivoting its digital infrastructure to bridge the gap between high-volume climate anxiety and policy-level solutions.

"We have over 100,000 voters searching for answers on climate science every month," says Oumaima, lead on Digital Strategy for the campaign. "We are now moving from an information library to a conversion funnel. We are proving to those independent 'fish' in the pond that a write-in vote for Christian Komor in November is the only mathematically sound path toward biospheric integrity."
