ANOTHER RESCUE PLAN
"We are all used to campaigns. This is less a campaign and more of a second (and last) rescue attempt. In 2018 if you visited Arizona you would have seen thousands of signs from one corner of the state to another reading 'Komor for Governor - End Climate Change'. I lost to ice cream salesman Doug Ducey and climate change continues. Maybe people were taking the short view and just wanted the immediate relief ice cream can bring.
It is now 2026 and I am back in Colorado running for Governor again. All that ice cream has long-ago melted in the summer heat or been burned up in wildfires. Unfortunately, with roughly 2 years to begin removing carbon directly from the atmosphere- and less than 10 until the "final" climate tipping point - the pressure to act (versus react) on climate change is 8 years more intense.
Everyone has a part to play now if you want to get rescued from climate change. My part is to clearly explain how our team will repair climate change and our plans to address other Colorado problem areas like the economy, housing costs, healthcare delivery and, of course, climate.
The Press has the duty to report on all candidates' campaigns equally and fully. (Imagine the lives lost and damage done if a candidate for office had the solution to both the climate and hyperscale data center crises and the press was ignoring or withholding that information!)
Donors have a responsibility to support candidates until we all become wise enough to establish a state fund that supports all candidates equally.
Citizens have the responsibility to become informed on the issues and candidates and cast their write-in and ticketed votes.
Back in 2018 not one reporter, or candidate (except myself) took the risk to say the words "climate change". Since then we seem to have drifted from completely ignoring climate change to desperation and admitting defeat. (Is that progress or the flip side of inaction?) In 2026 the Denver Post and Grand Junction Sentinel have done siloed reporting on diminished winter snowpack and last-ditch desalination efforts. At least in 8 years we have noticed the mess, but cleanup is hardly an effective response when dealing with environmental collapse on a massive scale.
So, here’s the thing, if you ask the other candidates for Governor if they can stop the hundred-degree-plus heat. If they can make it rain on our crops. If they can build back the snowpack. If they can stop the wildfires and lower the wind. If they can bring back the animals. They will tell you they can’t. All they have are expensive plans to clean up the damage or slow its progression. Now ask us at Christian Komor for Governor and the answer is a loud and clear Yes! Not in one year, but definitely in five years - soon enough to save your children - you will notice a difference. Direct Air Carbon Removal is working all over the world. As your Governor I will upscale DACR and link these centers to Hyperscale Data Centers. DACR and HSDC's have the ability to neutralize each other's challenges while creating jobs and GDP. That's our plan and you can read about it in great detail at www.k4gov.com.
My slogan from 2018 remains the same: We Can Fix This! The question is....this time will you choose to?
